January 1, 2012 2:33:30 PM MST Really sorry that this had to come about but sure the Dr's will know immediately what course they need to take. Just read an article in Wall St Jr about the difficulties Dr's face regarding bacterial infections & staples that are used in colon surgeries. No matter how careful the doctors/hospitals are the article said some of the bacteria is traced to the equipment..... Really thankful you are where you are. I 've told my Albuq. Eye Assoc Dr that I wanted to come to Albuq to have my cataract surgery instead of the Portales or Clovis Hospital where they usually do our area patients. Just an extra precaution on my part. We know this is so stressful for JaNell & you. If there is anything we can do for you please let us know. Are Kelly & Crystal still with you? Adrienne |
So sorry that JaNell had a rough day, but we are glad that it didn't last any longer than it did. Here we go again, two steps forward, one step back. Hope this doesn't last long either. I bet she was sure happy to be able to shower. Those "sponge" baths really aren't the same!!! Hope the chest x-ray turns out to be okay too. We appreciate hearing from you about her condition. We think about her all the time, praying for her recovery. We also hope you, Terry, and family are doing okay too. Illnes is so hard on the whole family. Anyway, take care and tell JaNell we are hoping that things will get better very soon........Jorie |
I love you and yours! Please keep me posted. |
Thanks for update. Keep us posted. |
Happy New Year!! We never know what the new year will bring. 2011 certainly brought you some real trials. Here's hoping 2012 is a good one. I pray you will soon be reporting that JaNell is out and doing really well. My best to you and all of your family. Cheers! Navora |
Thanks for the update Terry. Lawson |
Hope all went well with JaNell's cat scan last night and you both can get some needed rest today. |
JaNell Surgery Report 2012.01.02.a Report and Information: 2012.01.02 @ 9:30 am Results of the CT Scan indicate there is a leak where the bowel was connected during surgery. The Doctors think that it will heal itself. terry |
Report and Information: 2012.01.02 @ 10:45 am JaNell is receiving three antibiotics which have lowered the white blood cell count. Since she is not experiencing, fever, chills or nausea at the present time, they have a wait and see approach. It would be risky to perform surgery now because of the scar tissue from the first surgery. Dr. Wasif is in town, and lives near by. He looked at the CT Scan on his home computer. terry |
Hi Terry & JaNell, Thinking of you guys this am. and hoping that replacing the PICC line took care of the bacterial infection and no absess in the stomack. I sure hate it when you have the fever & chills and hope they pass when the infection is stopped. I hope this New Year brings you guys home safe and well. Spent quiet New Year's eve and day with Michael & family. Luv , Norene |
Thanks for the update Dad |
Your Happy New Year photo is beautiful. Everything swept clean and calm. I love the desert. I pray that JaNell's body will be restored to this same beauty. lawanda |
