Terry, Merry Christmas to ya'll. I know you probably aren't in the mood
of celebration. Hang in there.
Marcea

Thank you Terry, for keeping us up to date with your "blow by blow" descriptions of all that is happening there. I'm sure that it is a slow process and will take time for JaNell to get back to any thing near normal day to day living. She may rest assure ( and you may too) that she will remain in our daily prayers.
May God love you both and may the New Year be filled with many good things.

Merry Christmas to you and yours,

Ralph

Merry Christmas!

Andy & I laughed when we read the jelly bean tray barf story.

My mom said you had a tube up your nose. I had that too - I did not think it was possible to fit through. You are in our thoughts.

Kiss kiss,

Terry,

Thanks for the update as we've been very concerned about JaNell's progress. The one bright spot was your comment about JaNell saying it was the Dallas Cowboys game that had made her sick & throw up. We thought,"Yeah!! JaNell still has her since of humor intact so that's a good sign of "steps up"...... However, (after a "flash-back" moment)....We remembered we were sick enough to throw up as well by the end of the Dallas game......

I agree about the pain medications causing problems after surgery. But, somehow there has to be relief from the unbearable pain. Ben's bladder stopped working, due to pain med's, for a time after his prostate surgery causing him misery...... My experience was that I told Ben not to let the Dr.'s give me any pain shots after my surgery as I didn't want to be " talking out of my head".......When I finally woke up Ben said," Man, you were a regular drug addict!!!....You, kept saying, "When is my next shot due!!!!" We know this is a much more serious situation for JaNell than anything we have experienced. All her surgeries came at once while ours were all stretched out. So thankful you are at the Mayo and glad that your facilities are nice, Terry, and near JaNell's hospital room. Also, thankful you are able to have your computer with you.

We're still having snow days in NM. We received another in. last evening and snowing again today. Made it home from TX just in time.

Well JaNell still has a sense of humor going for her. The Bears are going to make us sick too, tonight against the Packers. It will be disgusting as it has been for the past few weeks. Yep, it does get discouraging when it seems like you will never get well again. We hope that this will pass sooner rather than later. I hate being sick one hour let alone going through all that nausea. I would imagine that is from the chemo. You guys take care, and talk to ya later...............Jorie

JaNell is blessed to have you. Keep hanging in! God is good!

Love you.

Oh, freaking NO!!! It is going to take time, alot more than we expected, I'm sure. Meds can do that, and she is getting some powerful stuff. We feel so badly for her. Just remember to keep that barf bucket as close to her as possible. When it got like that at the nursing home where I worked and the flu was going around, I would hear someone throwing up and I am out the other door, trying to puke myself. OMG!!! Well, one of these days, she will get better, the sooner the better. It is too bad, she has to be there on Christmas. What a bummer. You guys take care, and hopefully, the days and nights will be getting better. Take care.................................. Jorie

Hi, Terry & JaNell

Thanks for the updates. We continue to offer up prayers for both of you. It does help that you have kept a sense of humor throughout this tough time. Alan & I are trying to keep our humor up, as well. B is here for Christmas. Thankful for the time together.

Love,
Alan, Sara and Brandon

Dr. Hadad came by this afternoon. JaNell has been throwing up this morning

My notes:

* NG tube a possibility.
* No eating or drinking today.
* x-ray this afternoon.
* Maybe an obstruction.
* No water, just sterile water on a cloth.
* Rest the stomach.

(just came to take her to x-ray. On her bed, by her request.)

Do they have an idea on what healing of all of this would look like?
