Harold Lloyd Merritt
(July 17, 1931 - October 25, 2007)

Obituary for Harold Lloyd Merritt Funeral services will be held for Harold Lloyd Merritt, 76, of Roswell at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007, at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery. Harold passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007, at his home surrounded by the love of his family. Harold was born on July 17, 1931 in Lovington, NM. He graduated from Vaughn High School and served his country with the United States Air Force. He and Betty Joyce Blazier were married on July 18, 1952 in Vaughn; Betty survives Harold at the family home. Harold was a meter reader, special representative, and credit manager for SPS for over forty years before his retirement. During his retirement, he delivered cars for many car dealers. Harold enjoyed riding his motorcycle as a twenty-five year member of the Retread Motorcycle Club. During his motorcycle trips he visited all the states except the New England States. He loved to spend time with his family especially going camping. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Betty, Harold is survived by four daughters, Deborah Lee Cash Enochs and her husband, Eddie, of Borger, Texas, Teresa Lou Brewster of Roswell, Ronna Larae McInnes-Roberts and her husband, Dale, of Dunken, NM, and Donna Larie Dotson-Cole of Roswell; a sister, Carol Lynn Jones, and her husband, David, of Alba, Texas; a brother, Ronald Lewis Merritt and his wife, Beverly, of Yeso, NM; thirteen grandchildren, Caleb Beasley, Jacob Beasley, Miryah Beasley-McDonald, Lara Beasley-LaFebvre, Jessica Cash-Langston, Nathan Brewster, Travis Brewster, Amber McInnes-Haws, Michael Dotson, Mirandy Dotson-Wood, Delilah Cole, and Shelton Cole; and twelve great-grandchildren, Brett, Tyler, Wyatt, Damon, Kailee, Bree, Chadin, Joey, Donavon, Savanna, Reagan, Darian, and one on the way. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis and Opal Pearl Merritt; and a daughter, Vickie Lynn Beasley-Roberts.
