Hello All,

Not much change to day. Pain was manageable with a reading on 2 to 3 on a scale of 10. She walked around two times and sat up in a chair for a total of three hours. She experienced some nausea and threw up one time today. They will remove her catheter at 12:00 PM.

Progress is slow, which Dr. Wasif attributes to the chemotherapy treatment she had at time of surgery.

Hello All,

One step forward and two steps back. (JaNell's words.) The doctors were in this morning talking about doing a CT Scan, to determine why she was still having nausea. JaNell told them that it would be impossible to drink the, "stuff." A little while later, a doctor stuck her head in the door and said that the CT Scan had been canceled, and that they would wait and see how she progressed today.

Please pray for her spirit. She is “weary and low low in the valley.” Her words.

I am sure JaNell is discouraged, but she is doing well for what she went through. I know it can't get better fast enough. Tell her to keep her chin up, cause we are cheering for her to get back to normal. I can imagine how she couldn't take the "stuff" for the CT scan, especially when it can make you throw up just looking at it, and she was nauseated to begin with. Eeewwwww!! Things will get better but it takes so much time to get the job done. Here's hoping tomorrow will be much better. Take care, you guys..We are thinking of both of you....... Jorie

Wish JaNell could just fast forward (FW, FW, FW) through all this process that the doctor's have to carry through for her complete recovery. We know JaNell's pain is probably triple what Ben & I struggled through. But, somewhere down that road there is a "turn around" and the the way back to normal is so wonderful & peaceful that, eventually, you almost forget the pain path you were once on. We hope & pray this recovery process starts very soon. Our hopes & prayers are with her. Love you, Adrienne

I am lazy today. I have had a very busy week so I am chilling. I am off until January 3rd. We had our Midland Fair Haven's Christmas party last night. Our ladies and children our always in awe at how many gifts they receive. We had so many gifts Priscilla and I took probably 200-250 gifts to another agency last Friday that was low on gifts for Christmas. Most of our families have seen very few gifts in the past at Christmas. The Lord is so good to our ladies. We have a party with Mr. & Mrs. Santa and a Happy Birthday Jesus Cake. I am so blessed to be a part of Midland Fair Havens. I received a $1900.00 Christmas bonus this year. We are leaving for the Metroplex for Christmas probably on Thursday. We were going on Friday, but we are suppose to get snow and ice on Friday and Saturday. Royce has his knee surgery on January 4th. I want you to know that you two are in my prayers continuously. The Lord will never forsake you or leave you. JaNell you are going to make it, hang in there! I will stay put until I hear otherwise. I love you both a lot!

Kelly sent me a text this AM. I have alerted all the sincere prayers to specifically pray for end of nausea and to have God meet her at her point of need...up close and obviously. We must all pray trusting God and surrender JaNell to Him. Is Kelly coming back? I am concerned for you Terry. This probably will be a long haul. I was wondering if the great amount of chemo could be causing the problem. Too bad we are all not about 20 years younger in body. She'd snap back a little faster...maybe? Hope today has gone smoother for everyone.
We got lots of rain and a few snow flakes and today is just cold. Another storm on the way. Bring on the snow says the Yankee.
