I found a five dollar bill in a mud puddle while we were walking to the locker plant in Ft Sumner. I was walking along dragging a stick in the puddles of water when I found it.
Sunday Movie
When we stayed in Ft Sumner for the weekend we liked to go to the movie on Sunday afternoon. We had to sneak out the backyard gate, because we didn’t want to offend the neighbor, who lived across the street, who thought it was sinful to go to the movies on Sunday. It was fun to visit that neighbor's house though, especially after she waxed her hardwood floors; she let us “skate” on the floors in our sock feet to polish it.
