***** Adron's Aunt

Adron's Aunt Ella lived in the North Central part of Portales, her house may have been located on North Ave J or K one block North of the Floyd Highway. I can remember going by her small house as a child, it may have burned down.

Aunt Ella was our Great Aunt and lived down by the cotton gin and railroad tracks in a tiny little house.  We think she was one of the founding members of the Roosevelt Co DAR.....anyway, she was buried in the DAR's "Circle Plot" of founding members at the cemetery. ......She died in Portales June 11, 1949.
