letter Dad had written him the day he died. This is what he said:

 

"Dear Dan"

You did me such a good turn, going to the food store, that I must tell you so. At mystation in life, simple courtesies like yours are everything. We, Gladys and me, both thank you for helping out. Best wishes to you and your family.

Ralph Sr."

 

 

These are just a few of the memories I have of Dad and the guiding principles that he lived by: 1. Love of family and responsibility to its members; 2. Tolerance of all people and their beliefs; 3. Duty and love of Country; and 4. Faithfulness.

 

I pray to God that we all will try hard to follow his example and, in that way, keep his memory alive.
