Farmer Shares Tales is a great addition to Ancestors Web Site.

Poncho Morris, that wrote the article for the News Tribune , was a good friend of Alan's at ENMU.   I remember when he did the interview.   Thought he did a good job.  Good photo, too.

The shoes that Daddy was wearing in the News Tribune article, were the ones I had bought him for his Birthday.  I had paid quite a lot for them and when I gave them to him he eyed them suspiciously until I said, "These are "Work Boots".....so then he seemed pleased and wore them every day....except on Sunday.   The other gift I gave him was a pair of cashmere socks which I meant to be his "Sunday Socks"......But, he ended up wearing them all the time with his "Work Boots" and told me once, " I really like these socks".....never realizing they were cashmere.....They were just soft and warm.

Daddy was eighty-five at the time this photo was taken and then on Dec. 16, 1980 at age eighty-six he passed away.
